Ajman Free Zone’s ‘HAFEZ Program’ honors 200 top performing employees for their outstanding contributions and dedication

Move is part of initiative to motivate employees and promote positivity in the workplace

September 03, 2020 - Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) honored more than 200 of its top performing employees through its ‘Rewards and Recognition Program’ (HAFEZ), an initiative launched by the free zone as part of its commitment to pay tribute and recognition to its exemplary employees on a regular quarterly basis, which in turn, helps in enhancing positivity in the workplace; achieving happiness; increasing the efficiency of AFZ operations and improving the quality of its services. The winners for this quarter were nominated by their respective department heads and were awarded based on the program's set of well-defined standards and the employee's performance reports.

Winners were honored across two main categories of HAFEZ— ‘Testahal,’ an award given to top performers, particularly in the areas of service development, social contribution, academic qualification, and length of employment with AFZ; and ‘Our Champions,’ which seeks to honor employees demonstrating exceptional efforts in the performance of their duties, resulting in improved productivity and enhanced efficiencies. Moreover, the ‘Our Champions’ category is further broken down into four other sub-categories—‘Sales Champion,’ which is awarded to employees who have achieved or exceeded sales targets; ‘Customers Happiness Champion,’ an award given to employees who have helped resolve the highest number of customer complaints; ‘Distinguished Department Championship,’ an honor awarded to outstanding employees whose achievements go beyond specified objectives, particularly in terms of personal development; and ‘Creative Champion,’ an award bestowed on the employee presenting creative and meaningful ideas that have left a positive impact on the work place.

Engineer Ali Abdulla Bin Towaih Al Suwaidi, Director General, AFZ, explained the importance of the HAFEZ Program, which seeks to honor top performing employees and keeping the workforce highly motivated. The Director General extended his congratulations to the winners of various categories and lauded them for their exemplary dedication.

“Through HAFEZ, the AFZ is able to express and recognize its appreciation to our employees who continue to inspire and serve as model examples for others to follow. The awards throw the spotlight on their exceptional efforts to enhance operational efficiency, promote service quality and improve the customer experience. Rest assured that we will remain steadfast in our commitment to develop and implement reward programs and initiatives to further motivate our employees while also supporting them in their move to develop capabilities and acquire new skills. Being the cornerstone of our strategy to foster institutional performance and reach new levels of success, our workforce will always come first in our priority list,” Al Suwaidi added.

AFZ first launched the HAFEZ Program in June 2020 in line with its initiative to motivate its workforce and promote core values such as positivity, teamwork and excellence in workplace, which helps in the development of the Free Zone's operations and consolidates its position as a leading investment hub and key contributor to business activities in the emirate of Ajman.
